In 1860, it was acquired by the collegiate assessor Nikolai Sevastyanov. It was under him that the building acquired its current appearance with elements of Neo-Gothic and Baroque.During the Soviet years, the first labor exchange in the country was based in the mansion, and then the regional council of trade unions. In 2008, the building was completely restored as the residence of the President of Russia at the SCO summit.
